Smartwatches
Connect Apple Watch, Galaxy Watch, or a Garmin watch, and log and run from your wrist.
Connecting Apple Watch
Install FitBoost on the Apple Watch paired with your iPhone, then turn on Smartwatch sync on your phone.
- Install FitBoost from the Watch app on your iPhone (or the App Store on the watch).
- On your phone, open Menu → App settings → Smartwatch.
- Turn on Smartwatch sync and check Watch status to see that it's connected.
The watch shows heart rate and active calories during your workout and saves finished workouts to the Health app.
Connecting Galaxy Watch
Works on Wear OS watches like Galaxy Watch paired with an Android phone.
- Find FitBoost in the Play Store on your watch and install it.
- On your phone, open Menu → App settings → Smartwatch and turn on Smartwatch sync.
- Check Watch status to see that it's connected.
While you train, an ongoing workout notification stays on the watch.
Connecting a Garmin watch
Pair your watch with the Garmin Connect app, install FitBoost on the watch from the Connect IQ Store, then tap Connect a Garmin watch once.
- Pair your watch with the Garmin Connect app.
- Install FitBoost on the watch from the Connect IQ Store.
- On your phone, tap Menu → App settings → Smartwatch → Connect a Garmin watch. On iPhone, pick your watch when Garmin Connect opens, then come back.
Works with both iPhone and Android. Workouts done on the Garmin go into your phone's records and are also saved to Garmin Connect as strength training.
What you can do on the watch
Finish a set and pick your effort, and the rest timer runs and buzzes when it's done. Workouts finished on the watch go into your phone's records.
- Load the phone workout: continue a workout you started on your phone.
- Quick strength start: start right on the watch without your phone.
- Coach circuit: pick a length and your phone builds a circuit that runs on the watch.
- Complete or undo sets, pick one of four effort levels, and finish and send the workout to your phone.
- Running: run with pace ranges, steps, and the course line on your wrist, and send the run to your phone when you finish. See Running with a watch.
On Apple Watch, double-tap the weight and turn the Digital Crown to change it. A Garmin watch saves finished workouts while your phone is out of range and sends them when it's back.
Sending the current workout to your watch
Start the workout on your phone first, then tap Menu → App settings → Smartwatch → Send current workout to watch.
You can also load the phone workout from the watch app. If it won't connect, see troubleshooting.
