2. The service
Public courses in the FitBoost app let you share a running course line you choose with all users, and find, save and follow courses others have shared. These terms cover public courses only; the rest of the app follows the Terms of Use.
3. Location information we receive
For a course you choose to share, we receive its line (coordinates with 400–600 m cut off near the start and finish), its name, and surface and terrain tags. We don't receive times, speed, heart rate, names or contact details. When you look for public courses, the app sends only an area of about 15 km around the place you chose, and the server doesn't record it. Exploring doesn't use your device's location permission.
4. Your rights
You can take a public course down at any time ("Take down" on the course, or "Take all down" in run settings), withdraw your consent, and see what you've shared in the app's sharing history. To view, correct or delete data kept on the server, email us at the address above.
5. Retention
A public course is deleted 12 months after you share it. If you extend it, it lasts 12 months from that day. Taking it down stops sharing immediately.
6. Records of use and provision
The system automatically records when a course is shared, taken down, extended, hidden after a report, or expired, and keeps these records for 12 months before deleting them.
7. Sharing with others and notice
When you share a course publicly, everyone using the app can see it. Each time you share, the app immediately records the recipient (all users), the time and the purpose (sharing a course) in your sharing history.
8. Users under 14
Users under 14 can't share courses publicly. They can still explore and save them.
9. Reports and action
In the app you can report a course as unsafe, private land or no entry, showing your home or a private place, or having an inappropriate name. A report that a private place is shown hides the course immediately; other reports hide it for review once two different users report it. You can also hide all courses from the person who posted one.
10. Changes
If these terms change, we update the date on this page and ask for your consent again in the app for important changes.
