TripFit Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 16, 2026

TripFit (the “App”) processes personal data only as needed to provide its features. The App does not include advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs, and we do not sell personal data.

1. Features That Do Not Require an Account

You can use wardrobe, outfit, private trip, and packing features without creating an account. The following data is stored on your device by default:

• Clothing names, categories, colors, tags, notes, and photos you add
• Outfit and private trip names, dates, destinations, notes, and packing lists
• App settings such as language, theme, and sync preferences

If you enable iCloud sync, selected data is synchronized across your Apple devices using Apple CloudKit/iCloud. Wardrobe photos are included only when you enable the photo sync option.

2. Data Processed for Shared Trips

Shared Trips is optional and requires Sign in with Apple. When you use it, the following data is processed through Google Firebase:

• Account data: Firebase user identifier, Sign in with Apple identifier, and a display name if Apple provides one
• Shared trip data: room title, destination, country and time zone, candidate and confirmed dates, and member identifiers
• Availability data: daily and time-slot status, leave units, late arrival or early departure choices, and notes
• Shared packing data: item, quantity, assignee, and packed status
• Shared look data: outfit name, date, categories, colors, style tags, and notes
• Invitation and security data: a hash of the random invitation token, expiration time, and technical data needed for Firebase Authentication and App Check integrity verification

Private wardrobe photos and the contents of calendar events on your device are not uploaded to the Shared Trips service.

3. Purposes

We use data only to:

• Provide wardrobe, outfit, trip, and packing features
• Provide iCloud sync and restore when you enable it
• Synchronize Shared Trips among invited members
• Authenticate users, prevent abuse, secure the service, and troubleshoot failures

We do not use this data for advertising, third-party marketing, or tracking across other companies’ apps and websites.

4. Service Providers

• Apple: Sign in with Apple, iCloud/CloudKit, and App Store payments
• Google Firebase: Authentication, Cloud Firestore, App Check, and Hosting

These providers may process data required to operate their services under their own privacy policies.

For optional in-app tips, Apple processes the transaction and provides the App with product and transaction status needed to complete the purchase. TripFit does not receive or store your payment-card details.

5. Sharing and Visibility

Shared Trip data is visible only to users who join that room by invitation. We do not provide public profiles or feeds, and we do not share data with advertisers or data brokers. Anyone who receives an invitation link may request to join until it expires or is revoked, so share links only with people you trust.

6. Retention and Deletion

• Local data may remain on your device until you delete it in the App or remove the App.
• iCloud data may remain until you delete it through the App or iCloud.
• Shared Trip data is retained until the room or related collaboration account is deleted.
• Signing out does not delete server data.

You can delete your collaboration account in More → Collaboration Account → Delete Collaboration Account. Completion removes the Firebase Authentication account and that user’s Shared Trip data. Private wardrobe, outfit, and trip data stays on the device unless you delete it separately. See Collaboration Account Deletion for details.

7. Security

The App uses reasonable safeguards, including Sign in with Apple, Firebase Security Rules, App Check, and encrypted transport. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

8. Children’s Privacy

TripFit is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes

If our data practices change, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures. Material changes may also be communicated through an app update or this page.
